I don't know how useful this might be to you but I found the COMEDIA TINELLARIA, written
by Bartolome de Torres Naharro, to be quite interesting in this regard. His short play,
in which each character speaks in his native language (except for the German who speaks
in latin), tries to portray the life of the
pope's kitchen. Various kitchen workers who serve a banquet to the papal court provide
much merriment as they carry on in Spanish, Italian, French, and Catalan.
