News: Special ITS2008 Discount!

ITS2008 (Intelligent Tutoring Systems), celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will be held in Montreal the week before the Summer Institute on Social Cognition. Several ITS2008 workshops (ex. "Emotional and Cognitive Issues in ITS" and "Culturally-Aware Tutoring Systems") as well as various conferences and tutorials are likely of interest to Summer Institute participants. Conversely, several Summer Institute topics (ex. "From culture to cognition", "Social emotion" and "Knowledge communities") might interest many ITS2008 participants. To encourage cross-conference participation, we have worked out a bilateral discounted registration scheme.

Regularly registered Summer Institute participants can register for ITS2008 with a 30% discount, i.e. for $500 (including banquet and proceedings) in the case of professionals and for $200 in the case of students. To register for ITS2008 at the discounted rate, send an e-mail to its2008conference@gmail.com including proof of Summer Institute registration (available here once you are logged onto the Summer Institute web site).

Regularly registered ITS2008 participants can register for the Summer Institute at a special rate of $100 a day (professionals) or $60 a day (students). To register at the discounted rate, create an account on the Summer Institute web site, and then send an e-mail to summer08.isc@uqam.ca including your name, email, current residency (country), registration status (professional or student), a list of the days you wish to register for, and proof of ITS2008 registration.

Plusieurs ateliers d'ITS2008 (comme "Emotional and Cognitive Issues in ITS" ou "Culturally-Aware Tutoring Systems"), mais aussi des conférences et des tutoriels sont susceptibles d'intéresser les participants de notre Institut d'été; inversement, plusieurs journées de l'Institut d'été (par exemple "From culture to cognition", "Social emotion" ou "Knowledge communities") ont elles aussi de l'intérêt pour les participants à ITS2008. Des tarifs spéciaux ont donc été négociés pour participer à la fois à ITS2008 et à l'Institut d'été.

Si vous êtes inscrits à l'Institut d'été, les organisateurs de la conférence ITS2008 vous offrent de vous inscrire à 30% de rabais pour les professionnels (soit un tarif unique de 500$ incluant le banquet et le livre) et à un tarif unique de 200$ pour les étudiants (soit un rabais de 100$).
