Planet Earth in Montreal! |
As the world gears towards the "International Year of Planet Earth", more and more people are looking to geoscientists to develop an integrated approach to global problems. In this spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration, we invite you to take part in a wide range of scheduled activities during the Joint Annual Meeting of the Geological Association of Canada and the Mineralogical Association of Canada (GAC-MAC) to be held at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) from May 14 to 17, 2006.
Montreal is one of the most dynamic cities in North America, with a distinct cosmopolitan flair and a focus on cultural activities, knowledge and the environment. Renowned for its excellent cuisine, its bistros and cafés, Montreal is also a commercial metropolis and a favourite destination for conference goers. The GAC-MAC meeting will take place in UQAM's new Science Complex in the heart of downtown and in close proximity to all of Montreal's major attractions.
Online registration is now closed but it will be possible to register on-site, at UQAM, Sherbrooke Pavilion, 200 Sherbrooke street west, Montreal
