HOMEThe Research Laboratory on Social Behavior was founded in 1983 by Robert J. Vallerand, now a full professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Université du Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). The RLSB has three main objectives. First, it seeks to conduct theoretical research and more specifically in the field of Social Psychology. Thus, theoretical models on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and/or passion have been developed. Second, the RLSB conducts theoretically inspired applied research on important social problems such as high school dropouts, successful aging, gambling, health issues, well-being in sports, etc. Third, the RLSB has also the objective of training future researchers and university professors. Over the years, more than fifteen university professors and other social scientists have been trained in our laboratory. |
